Beautifying 260 North Main Street

In March, Emslie's Florist located at Morse Block in Barre (260 N. Main St) approached Tyson Leno, Director of Maintenance at Vermont State Housing Authority about a gardening/mural project to beautify Barre and the Morse Block building, managed by Downstreet.  

After some permitting by Emslie's and conversations between Nate Quinn, Downstreet's Facilities Manager, and Kate, Emslie's Manager, the project got the OK.  Downstreet's maintenance technicians dug up and laid out mulch along the building's side and Emslie's planted gardens.  They also assisted Morning Glory Artistry with installing a mural to beautify the side of the Morse Block building.

When the project was complete Nate Quinn said that "it was a pleasure to be involved in brightening the forgotten space."
