We are looking for a full-time Homeless Services Hotel Director to join our team!
Downstreet is seeking a mission-driven Homeless Services Hotel Director to oversee the operations of a hotel dedicated to providing comprehensive support services to occupants. The role involves strategic planning, program development, staff management and support, and coordination with community stakeholders to ensure quality operations and promote positive outcomes for occupants.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all occupants.
- Lead, support, and supervise a team of staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and enforce training protocols and policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations, safety and effective service delivery.
- Help design and oversee programs and services designed to help occupants achieve stable housing.
- Collaborate with community partners and other stakeholders to enhance service offerings for occupants.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, organizational, and funder regulations and requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports on program outcomes, financial performance, and other key metrics.
- Develop and monitor operating budget and ensure financial resources are used appropriately.
- Represent Downstreet at community meetings, events, and other forums as needed.
- Perform other related responsibilities.
Experience and Education
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other relevant software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) and 3 years of experience in relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, employment, and life experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness and a commitment to ensuring compassionate, trauma-informed services.
- Highly organized with a strong ability to manage priorities and deadlines and ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, leadership abilities, active listening skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to equity and inclusion and social and economic justice.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer
- Must be able to climb stairs and lift 25 pounds at a time
Compensation
This is a full-time, exempt position. Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 annually.
