Downstreet's Response to COVID-19

At Downstreet, the health and well-being of our residents, staff, and community as a whole is our number one priority.

As the events of COVID-19 continue to unfold, we are doing everything we can to support those we serve and each other. We are monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 situation and continually updating our action plan to maintain our services as best we can while doing our part to slow the spread of the virus.

With the health and well-being of our communities, residents and staff in mind, Downstreet is taking the following proactive measures to do our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

  • Our doors remain closed to the public for the time being, but our property managers, maintenance staff, and HomeOwnership Center staff are available, as always, for new and existing customers.
  • Our Property Management, Maintenance, and SASH staff continue to update their protocols in order to continue to keep our residents safe and healthy; we ask that a pre-visit questionnaire be completed by any resident(s) who are expecting Downstreet staff to visit their apartment. Property Managers and SASH Coordinators are keeping a log of all in-person interactions with residents in order to help with contact tracing, should any of our staff or tenants test positive for COVID-19.
  • Our residents can continue to use our 24/7 emergency maintenance line if they have a maintenance issue that needs immediate attention: (802) 229-6563.
  • Renters may pay rent online through ZEGO, mail in a check, or drop off a rent check in the locked drop box outside our main office in Barre.
  • All outside meetings that were scheduled in our community space have been canceled until further notice.
  • Many of our office staff are working remotely, but can always be reached via phone or email.

If you have a specific question or a concern related to Downstreet and COVID-19, please feel free to call us during our business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm at (802) 476-4493 or contact us online anytime.

We wish you all health and safety during this time and always. We know that together we will get through this challenging time and emerge even stronger as a community.
