Housing Support Programs are Available to Help You Today!

Whether you are a renter, a landlord, or a home-owner, special COVID-19 support programs are available to help everyone maintain a safe, healthy place to live. See below for the Central Vermont programs and organizations that are here for you!

RENTAL STABILIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This program provides support for landlords and tenants in need of rental assistance due to COVID-19 to avoid tenant eviction. MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

If you are behind on your mortgage because of the impact of COVID-19, this program may be for you! Applications are being accepted through August 31st, and can be accessed here. Need help navigating the program? Call 1-800-889-2047 Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 4 pm.

VERMONT STATE RENTAL REHAB PROGRAM

We are proud to be administering the State's Rental Rehab Program for Washington, Orange, and Lamoille counties. This program will provide grant money of up to $30,000 per rental unit for landlords to perform repairs to address code violations. Capstone Community Action has a variety of programs to help with things like access to food, navigating difficult landlord/tenant situations, and finding permanent housing. Emergency funds are available to maintain housing during COVID-19. Call 1-800-639-1054 to schedule a call with a counselor, or visit their website for more information.
