At Downstreet we work hard to encourage community engagement. We are always excited to hear what residents in our service area think, whether it’s an idea or suggestion, a complaint or criticism, or just an observation or comment. Community engagement is essential to improving our neighborhoods. Who better to take action to improve and build communities than the people who live, work and play in them?

One way in which Downstreet has tried to understand the need for community development was through participation in NeighborWorks’ Community Impact Measures survey, which took place during the summer of 2013. This survey queried 200 randomply selected households within a 81-block portion of downtown Barre City, right where Downstreet is located. Below you can see a summary of the findings.
